Custom Vespa Luggage — Nubuck Carry Bag for a Bespoke Scooter
In 2019, Vespa Cape Town reached out asking if we would make a custom luggage bag for a client's specially customised Vespa scooter. The brief: a large suede nubuck case with Ferrari seat leather piping that clips cleanly to the rear bracket.
The Brief
In 2019, we were contacted by Vespa Cape Town to enquire if we would be open to making a custom luggage carry bag for one of their loyal clients — someone seeking something unique to complement their recently customised Vespa Scooter.
The design brief was for a large suede / nubuck leather luggage case that could seamlessly attach and detach from the rear carry bracket. A special request was also included: piping detail using Ferrari seat leather.
The finished bag — fitted to the rear carry bracket of the customised Vespa, ready for the road.
Construction
The case was constructed from premium nubuck leather, chosen for its velvety texture and durability. The attachment mechanism was engineered to allow the bag to clip cleanly onto the Vespa's existing bracket without modification to the scooter itself.
