Strap Measurement Guide

Every dimension of a bespoke watch strap has a name and a purpose. Use this guide — and the diagram below — to understand exactly what to measure before placing your commission.

Recommended Tool

Vernier Callipers — digital preferred. Accurate to 0.1mm. Essential for lug width, buckle width, and tongue diameter. Cost: £5–15.

Alternative

Steel Ruler — fine for strap lengths. Less accurate for small dimensions. Acceptable if you take care to align properly.
